Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview

We want you to be completely satisfied with BizPilot. This policy outlines your rights regarding cancellations and refunds for any paid subscription plan. Please read it carefully before subscribing.

Free Trial

All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start your trial. You will only be charged once you explicitly choose to upgrade and provide your payment details. If you do not upgrade before the trial ends, your account automatically reverts to the free tier — you will never be charged without consent.

Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your BizPilot subscription at any time directly from your account settings under Settings → Billing → Cancel Plan. No phone call or email required.

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • You retain full access to all paid features until that date.
  • After cancellation your account automatically downgrades to the free tier.
  • Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation so you can export it.
  • After 90 days, data is permanently deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.

Refunds

We offer refunds in the following circumstances:

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you have subscribed to a paid plan for the first time and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. This guarantee applies once per customer account.

Service Outages

If BizPilot experiences an unplanned outage exceeding 24 consecutive hours in a given billing month, affected customers are eligible for a pro-rated credit for the days of unavailability. Credits are applied to the next billing cycle.

Duplicate Charges

If you were charged more than once for the same billing period due to a payment processing error, we will refund the duplicate charge in full within 5 business days.

Non-Refundable Situations

The following are generally not eligible for refunds:

  • Cancellations made after the 14-day money-back window has expired.
  • Partial months — you retain access for the full paid period.
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Add-ons or one-time setup fees, unless otherwise stated at purchase.
  • Annual plans after 14 days from initial purchase (except where required by law).

Annual Plans

Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for the full year at a discounted rate. You may cancel an annual plan at any time, but refunds are only available within the first 14 days of the initial purchase. After 14 days, the remaining balance is non-refundable, though your access continues until the end of the paid year. Where consumer protection law in your jurisdiction requires a longer refund window, we will honour that requirement.

  • Include your account email, the date of charge, and the reason for the request.
  • We aim to respond within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days.

South African Consumer Rights

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other applicable South African legislation. Where there is a conflict between this policy and your statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before any material changes take effect.
